Support Australian Breastfeeding Association and have fun painting at the same time!

In support of World Breastfeeding Week 2022 I am holding an alcohol ink workshop teaching 2 of my artistic styles in stencil art.

100% of the profit of this workshop will be donated to Australian Breastfeeding Association too!

What you will learn:
You will learn 2 different methods, both the floaty cloud like effect which consists of a combination of gradients and lines, and the more solid defined style.

What is provided:
2x A4 Nara Paper (Very high quality 430 microns)
2x Vinyl Stencils (Metamark Signmask)
Alcohol Inks (Ranger Inks, close to entire range of colours)
Isopropyl Alcohol

What you will need to bring with you:
A hair dryer (Old hair dryers work well, but Revlon, Conair, and Remington have been reported to be effective)

Why a hair dryer? The form of alcohol ink artwork I create uses heat and air to move the inks, this especially works well in a humid climate like Cairns. But this is a subject I will further touch on in the workshop.

Location:
Artview Gallery
220 Toogood Rd,
Bayview Heights
Cairns,
QLD 4868

Painting Therapy

The workshop run by Gina was so great for the soul! I enjoyed learning something new, meeting new people and creating magical artwork I can enjoy for many years to come. Thanks Gina!!!
She also did a breast milk painting of me and my two boys which is extra special artwork!

alcohol ink

What is it and how is it used in your art?

Alcohol inks are a highly pigmented, alcohol-based ink. When mixed with Isopropyl Alcohol a variety of fluid effects can be created.

I experiment between creating gradients, ripples, and floral effects, all of which are created with my heat gun.
